There’s been a lot of buzz around President Donald Trump’s health lately, and it’s no wonder. As the oldest person to ever take the presidential oath, nearing 80 years old, Trump often reassures everyone that he’s in excellent shape and feeling as sharp as ever. However, many observers are scrutinizing his health more closely, and some are expressing skepticism.
Concerns flared up again during his recent trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, where keen-eyed onlookers noticed some significant bruising on his hands.
Reports vary, with some saying it resulted from an accidental run-in with a bird or perhaps just a clumsy bump against a table. Regardless of the origin, it has only intensified ongoing questions about his overall condition.

Adam James, a licensed physical therapist with 14 years of experience, often shares his insights under the name “Epistemic Crisis.” He recently appeared on The David Pakman Show to discuss what he perceives as potential warning signs.
Drawing on his extensive background in neurological cases, James highlighted several concerns, such as Trump’s atypical walking style—a kind of sidelong swing of one leg—and balance issues that could suggest weakness on one side, possibly indicative of stroke-related problems.
Furthermore, James noted some issues with Trump’s speech, including occasional slurring and a tendency to mix up basic information, like confusing Greenland and Iceland. Trump also seems to rely on a limited vocabulary, frequently repeating the same words.
According to James, these behaviors suggest possible shrinkage of the frontal lobe, changes that would be evident through scans or cognitive assessments. He also pointed to instances of poor impulse control, such as the public disclosure of sensitive military information, which might link to brain regions responsible for judgment and restraint.
In James’s view, these symptoms could imply frontotemporal dementia, a challenging progressive condition. He explained that those diagnosed with this kind of dementia usually have 7 to 12 years, but given Trump’s rapidly escalating symptoms, his age, and potential additional health concerns (such as heart or kidney issues), James speculates the timeline could be much shorter—perhaps as little as 2 to 4 years.
He emphasized that even with top-notch medical care, it’s difficult to slow down this kind of deterioration if the underlying problems continue unchecked or medical advice isn’t followed rigorously.
To be clear, none of this constitutes an official medical diagnosis. Trump’s doctors have not publicly identified frontotemporal dementia or any similar condition. All of this speculation stems from public appearances and videos—all of those little moments that professionals like James are trained to notice.
No matter where you stand on Trump, these observations are sparking widespread conversation about what the future holds. While Trump has been consistently vocal about his good health, insights from professionals like James are adding more layers to the discussion. Only time will reveal how these health questions evolve.
