Astronomers using NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope probed the dusty disks surrounding young stars for the first signs of planetary systems forming. What they discovered coincides with the biblical description of the formation of the Earth.
The perception of Genesis was; the earth was created first, and the sun, moon and stars were created on the fourth day. Spitzer’s findings unravel this long-standing mystery and clear up much confusion about Genesis, proving that the Bible is scientifically accurate when read in the original Hebrew.
NASA specialists realized, while inspecting the position of the Sun in the last 1,000 years, that a day is missing from the past.

“One of the most amazing things that God has for us happened recently to our astronauts and scientists at Green Belt, Maryland,” said Harold Hill, space program consultant. Hill referred to the fact that, while scientists from NASA were trying to find out what happened and why the respective day is missing, a Christian came up with the explanation.
He remembered an episode from the Bible, where it is said that “the sun stood still”. It is about the moment when Joshua is surrounded by the enemy and asks God to keep the sun still.
What does the passage from the Bible say? “And the Sun stopped and the Moon stayed until the people took revenge on their enemies. Is this not written in the book of Ja’-Sher? So the Sun stayed in the middle of the sky and hastened not to set for about a whole day” (Joshua 10:13).
An astonishing discovery
The scientists redid the calculations and discovered that, in fact, 23 hours and 20 minutes are missing. Although the Bible was right, there were 40 minutes left and an explanation had to be found.
The following passage from the Bible shed light in this case as well: “And the prophet Isaiah cried out to the Lord and He brought the shadow back ten degrees, through which it fell in the quadrant of Ahaz.”
10 degrees is equal to exactly 40 minutes and, thus, the people from NASA found the solution to their problem. The explanations from the Bible amazed them as well, as Harold Hill also recognized, who declared himself impressed by what he discovered in the Holy Book.
