Frank Ifield was born in the UK but later moved to Australia where he grew up. In 1959, he decided to return to his homeland and it didn’t take long for him to rise to fame. The UK was captivated by his unique sound and he became a sensation in the 1960s. Hits like “Confessin’ That I Love You,” “Lovesick Blues,” “I Remember You,” and “The Wayward Wind” took the country by storm.

Frank’s journey in music started at a young age. At just 13 years old, he received a guitar as a gift and taught himself to play. He quickly fell in love with country music and even mastered the art of yodeling. This unique combination set him apart from other artists of his time.

In a remarkable six years, Frank released an impressive 44 records, gaining popularity not only in the UK but also in Tasmania, New Zealand, and Australia.
