In a heartbreaking turn of events, Khyree Jackson, a talented football prospect for the NFL, lost his life in a tragic car accident on Saturday morning. Jackson, only 24 years old, was recently drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and had a promising future ahead of him.
The accident took place when a speeding car collided with the vehicle carrying Jackson and two of his friends. Both Jackson and the driver, Hazel, were pronounced dead at the scene. Anthony Lytton Jr., another passenger and teammate, was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Just hours before the accident, Jackson had posted a series of pictures on his Instagram, reflecting on his life. The photos showcased moments from his football journey, including his time at Vikings practice. He also shared snapshots of himself enjoying the beach, interacting with animals, and showing off his fashionable attire.
Jackson was a true “doer” who lived life to the fullest. He started his college football career at Fort Scott Community College before transferring to play for both the Oregon Ducks and the Alabama Crimson Tide. In 2023, he had his best season, establishing himself as one of the top cornerbacks for the Ducks. This led to his selection by the Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft.
The news of Jackson’s untimely demise deeply saddened the Vikings organization. They immediately reached out to his family, offering their full support during this difficult time. The team also provided counseling services to players, coaches, and staff members who may be in need of emotional support.

Fortunately, the driver of the other vehicle involved and the occupants of another car, who were also hit, escaped without any injuries.
